An introduction to Miller Equipment Company, Inc.

I would like to introduce our company to you. Miller Equipment Company, Inc. is a general engineering construction firm. Our company has worked on virtually all of the major freeways, as well as many of the airports and levee systems, in Southern California, and has also completed projects in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Texas.

We would like to extend our services to you as a subcontractor with unit prices or as an equipment rental vendor with operated, maintained and serviced equipment. Finishing sub-grade, supplying and placing sub-base, and aggregate base courses under either asphalt or pcc pavements are our specialties. Our experience in soil cement extends to several different areas, including levee and dam armoring, large reservoir linings and cement-treated bases. The company owns four portable pug mill plants capable of producing up to 1000 tons of soil cement per hour. Mixing in place is also an option should a project require it. We offer complete service in supplying, mixing, placing and compacting soil cement for all project needs.

We have the in-house capability to build and convert GPS models and our company's motor graders are fully equipped with Topcon GPS machine controls. Our professional crews have worked together for many years completing jobs efficiently.

The following is a short list of some of the larger projects we have worked on:

At Denver International Airport in 1992 & 1993, we completed 500,000 cubic yards of cement treated base for Ball, Ball & Brosamer, Kasler, and +/- 80,000,000 square feet of soil cement and lime treatment for various contractors, including Kiewit, 3B’s, Kasler, Mt. Carmel Sand & Gravel, and Interstate Highways.

In 2005, we helped complete the Otay Rivers Project performed by the joint venture of The Washington Group and Parsons-Brinkerhoff. We finished the roadway, shoulder subgrade and placed, compacted and finished the Class IV and Class II bases on this twelve mile project.

In 2006, we completed the earthwork, P209, and the cement treated base at the Ontario International Airport for Griffith Company.

In 2008, Miller Equipment Company, Inc completed work on the temporary and main runways for CH2M Hill/IHC at Edwards Air Force Base.

We have continued to work for Kiewit, Granite, R&L Brosamer, Washington Group and Skanska formerly known as E.L. Yeager over the years, just to mention a few.

We are currently performing work for Flatiron and Griffith at LAX, and Atkinson on two freeway projects.

We also have extensive experience working on Solar and Wind farm projects.  We can place soil cement in your channels in lieu of rip-rap; we can place soil cement road beds in lieu of aggregate base.

We have four tier 3 16G Motorgraders and four Tier 3 623 Scrapers as well as other emissions-friendly equipment available.
